Bereshit 44:18-47:27

This is why we need to keep Torah because of the intensifying pressure we go through in it, and we need a teacher and the community. I can see now why this can't be done alone. This is going to take a multitude of people to get this accomplished. We need to take advantage of the tool that Echad has for us more so now then ever. This along with a teacher and a community is much, much needed especially at this crucial time in our lives. Now I see what it means to forget Torah. I thought I understood, but I didn't; now I do more than ever. It's a finished work that we have to cultivate. The Reshimo, we hang on to it until we feel that we can't anymore. The after effect is the blessing. No matter what give myself over to Torah. This is the path to take if I'm going to attach myself to anything, Torah is it, and this goes for all of us and let the Spirit move us in the direction we need to go. It's this simple. It's not about what we have or don't have. It's about accomplishing what Echad has predetermined us to do, to walk in our purpose and not to lose this thought. This is the tasteless, touches, and above all, the feeling. It's like a rainbow after the storm or a calm after the storm. All I can say is WOW! Now I can see why the evolution of everything outwardly. If we are all like-minded, we can get this accomplished. This could really be the end of all suffering and death.

Devar TORAH – Vayigash – (and he drew near)

Scripture: Bereshith (Genesis) 44:18-47:27

Mishkan David – Ezekiel 37:23-28 (Haftorah Ezekiel 37:15-28)

The time has come!!! Everything Joseph has suffered (also Jacob) is reaching the point that the cause (Echad) has predetermined to be in the effect (man made in His image) to occur.

“Then Joseph said to his brothers, “Come close to me if you please,” and they came close. And he said, “I am Joseph your brother – it is me, whom you sold into Egypt. And now, be not distressed, nor reproach yourselves for having sold me here, for it was to be a provider that G_d sent me ahead of you. For this has been two of the hunger years in the midst of the land, and there are yet five years in which there shall be neither plowing or harvest. Thus G_d has sent me ahead of you to insure your survival in the land and to sustain you for a momentous deliverance. And now, it was not you who sent me here, but G_d; He has made me father to Pharoah, master of his entire household, and ruler throughout the entire land of Egypt.” “They (Joseph’s brothers) went up from Egypt and came to the land of Canaan to Jacob their father. And they told him, saying, “Joseph is still alive,” and that he is ruler over the land of Egypt; but his heart rejected it, for he could not believe them. However, when they related to him all the words that Joseph had spoken to them, and he saw the wagons that Joseph had sent to transport him, then the spirit of their father Jacob was revived. And Israel said, How great! My son Joseph still lives! I shall go and see him before I die.” Genesis 45:4-8 & 25-28

“So Israel set out with all that he had and he came to Beer-sheba where he slaughtered sacrifices to the God of his father Isaac. God spoke to Jacob in night visions and He said, “Jacob, Jacob.” And he said, “Here I am.” And He said, “I am the God – God of your father. Have no fear of descending to Egypt, for I shall establish you as a great nation there. I shall descend with you to Egypt, and I shall surely bring you up; and Joseph shall place his hand on your eyes. So Jacob arose from Beer-sheba…” Genesis 46:1-5. (Scriptures from Tanak)

“Then Joseph brought Jacob, his father (teacher) and presented him to Pharaoh…, Then Jacob blessed Pharaoh, and left Pharaoh’s presence.” “Thus Israel settled in the land of Egypt, in the region of Goshen; they acquired property in it and they were fruitful and multiplied greatly. Genesis 47:7-10 & 28 Tanak. It was in Egypt that “Israel’s” greatest genius was to arise. We see that what Echad said in the cause had to happen in the effect.

I thank Echad for my Teacher who reminds me that whatever Echad has spoken/thought/pronounced in the cause must happen in the effect. When I receive, meditate and remember my Teacher’s teaching, apply it to my life, (even in times when it is hard), what Echad has said in the cause will take effect in my life in this realm, the effect. May we always remember Jacob and Joseph, and apply their tenacity and the way they held on to their teachings in those times of trials, and be the AM ISRAEL for which they went through to produce.
