Devar TORAH: Bechukosai (In My Statues)

Scripture: Vayikra (Leviticus) 26:3-27:34

Mishkan David – Inner Court

In the last Torah discussion I talked about resting the physical body. In this devar Torah it tells me how to rest this physical body that I may live and not die. My/Our Teacher has taught/is teaching that immortality is the path and I must walk in it to fulfill my purpose – to “live” and show/teach others this truth of immortality.

“Rest” is defined as n. repose: a cessation from motion or labor; a pause; to sleep; to cease from action; to remain; to continue to be. The way to “rest” became my question for this devar Torah. It took a while, but after much prayer and meditation the answer to/for me finally came as to how to rest this physical body of earth in order to live. So here goes:

The rest in the physical (earthly) body comes through the obedience to the commandments of Echad. Love Echad with all my heart, soul and strength; love my neighbor as myself and…Torah study is equivalent to all the commands. Prayers (3 times daily) also. See especially Baruch (“Blessed are you, Echad our G_d, King of the Universe, Who has sanctified us with His commandments and has commanded us to engross ourselves in the words of TORAH”….And may it be your will, Echad our G_d, and the G_d of our forefathers, that you accustom us to [study] your Torah and attach us to your commandments.”) Don’t forget the Shema, Shemoneh Esrei – Amidah and Ashrei. Obey the commandments of Echad and live!

Death is defined as: extinction of life; state of being dead; as without life; wholly without life.

LIFE is defined as: existence; vitality; condition of plants, animals, [humans], in which they exercise functional powers. To enter the rest that causes the dust that is our physical makeup to live (immortality) we need a Teacher (Isaiah 30:19-20), the TORAH and a community who believes as I/we do. Please read Deuteronomy (Devarim) 30:15-20 and 32:46-47.

Life -Immortality – Rest!!! Baruch Echad for my/our Teacher, Rebbe Moshe ben Avraham, who teaches me/us that this is the path (life – immortality) WALK IN IT!!!!! Baruch Echad!!! To be continued…
