Devar TORAH: Ki Sisa (When You Elevate)

Scripture: Shemos 30:11-34:35

Mishkan David: Building Presence (Holy of Holies-ONE)

3 Steps continued

3rd Step – Holy of Holies (Knowledge/Adam Kadmon -Heart of Israel) Perpetual

The nation Israel is yet in Inner Court. We see how they express themselves in doubt (about Moses yet being alive), their commanding of Aaron to build them a god (the golden calf) and worshipping it. All the while Moses is in the Holy of Holies getting directions from Echad for the people. The people cannot believe that their Teacher is yet alive.
Meanwhile, Teacher Moses is receiving further instructions and is told to “get thee down, for the people have/are “strayed quickly from the way that I have commanded them. They have made themselves a molten calf, prostrated themselves to it and sacrificed to it, and they said, This is your god, O Israel, which brought you up from the land of Egypt.” Please read Exodus 32:6-35.

Echad struck the people with a plague because of the calf Aaron had made. The Levites obeyed when Moses said in v. 26, “Whoever is for HaShem, join me!” while about 3,000 men of the people perished that day. By their loyalty (protocol), the Levites earned the right to replace the firstborn and be designated as God’s chosen TRIBE, which would serve Him in the Tabernacle. HaShem called them “stiff-necked. If I ascend among you, I may annihilate you in an instant.” Moses pleads for the people and for Echad’s nearness. Echad says, “My presence will go, and provide you rest.” Moses says, “If your Presence does not go along, do not bring us forward from here – unless You accompany us, and I and your people will be made distinct.

When Moses descended from Mt. Sinai – with the two tablets of the Testimony in the hand…Moses did not know that the skin of his face had become radiant when He (Echad) had spoken to him. Then Moshe spoke to the people.

Fear of my/our Teacher comes because of the flame (shining) on his face as He gives us the steps in the path to follow. We must not be afraid, as the nation of Israel was upon seeing their Teacher with the flame/glow of Echad upon him. Protocol is: When the Teacher says, “This is the path – walk in it!” – this is exactly what we must do. Honoring the presence of Echad through obedience to my/our Teacher, Rebbe Moshe ben Avraham, will cause me/us to walk in the path and receive the 13 (thirteen) attributes of Mercy that Echad gives to me/us.

Baruch HaShem!!! Thanks for my/our Teacher leading me/us into the Holy of Holies, the dimensions therein of the Oneness of Echad!!! To be continued…
